Magnificent holiday home in a great location. The site is undoubtedly unique, not far from the Montségur peak (7 km).
Other imposing Cathar castles can be found at Puivert (29 km, also a recreational lake), Quillan (43 km) and the town of Foix (25 km). From around the same period come the workshop houses with wooden galleries in the bastide town of Mirepoix (27 km, also a charming market on Monday morning). Also interesting are the Lavelanet textile museum (6 km), the caves and the archaeological museum near Tarascon-sur-Ariège (32 km). More of our time, the toy train museum.
To alternate, near Montbel (25 km) there is a large recreational lake where you can rent surfboards or small sailboats. Winter also offers you good times here. Just a 15-minute drive away are the ski slopes of Monts d'Olmes.
In Villeneuve d'Olmes (around 2 km) all shops. In Lavelanet (6 km), cinema, theater, sports center, cafes, restaurants...
