SNSM (Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer)
Since 1967, sea rescuers have saved thousands of lives on the French coast. Well known to boaters, and easily identifiable thanks to their orange and blue (or green) boats, these "sea firemen" fly to the rescue of holidaymakers in distress, whether they are on boats, pedal boats or just equipped with fins. Centralization of distress calls, implementation of search and rescue operations, coordination of units in the field... there is no shortage of work. The entire Locasun team is proud to support their courage and dedication.
MOUNTAIN RIDERS
To make your holidays even more beautiful, Locasun is committed to the Mountain Riders association and supports their waste collection campaign: "Mountain Days". Between May and September, a hundred days are organized with the help of thousands of volunteers to clean up our mountains, which unfortunately suffer from the dumping of more than 150 tons of rubbish every year. Actions that pay off: in 2015, thanks to the Mountain Days, 51 tonnes of waste were collected in the French mountains: the fight for cleanliness and the preservation of the environment concerns us all!
SURF RIDERS / INITIATIVES OCEANES
Created by the Surfrider Foundation Europe association, the Ocean Initiatives aim to fight against the pollution of our beaches, seabeds, lakes and rivers by aquatic waste. Every year, tens of thousands of volunteers mobilize to organize clean-up actions in coastal areas and rivers, raising awareness of environmental protection. Nearly 11,000 citizen collections have been organized since 1996. These have also provided scientists with valuable information about global aquatic pollution.
ON THE GREEN ROAD
In 2011, two adventurous cousins, Siméon and Alexandre, will be cycling around the world. During this 14-month journey, they made a documentary that was so successful that they decided to found an association ("On The Green Road") to raise travellers' awareness of environmental and societal issues. Their goal? Mobilize around the environmental cause, everywhere on the planet, by showing everyone a more open, responsible, "greener", local and above all more committed vision of the world. Their actions? Promote meaningful initiatives to preserve the planet, through conferences, debates, photo exhibitions and workshops to tell their adventures and provide advice. Their credo? : "Think global, act local".
