About the area
About the town The town has a happy, fun atmosphere and attracts visitors young and old. There's an abundance of stores and boutiques, and the best place to go is the main pedestrian street of Calle San Miguel, where stores line up to sell you products of all kinds.
The city is also bathed in color in summer, with over a thousand species of trees and flowers planted in the city's streets, squares and parks.
The old fishermen's quarter of El Bajondillo is at the end of Calle San Miguel, down a steep staircase, where you'll find excellent seafood restaurants, souvenir stores and down below is El Bajondillo beach.
Torremolinos' seafront promenade extends to the Benalmádena marina and is perfect for a pleasant evening stroll, where you pass through the old fishing village of La Carihuela.
Beaches Torremolinos has six beaches in its municipality, all with clean, golden sand and numerous facilities, including restaurants and water sports. The 7-kilometer beach promenade is perfect for an evening stroll through the picturesque fishing village of La Carihuela to the Benalmádena marina.
