We present one of Hometels' signature homes. One of those homes that are unique not only for their continent, but above all for their contents.
Quico is a semi-detached house facing the Mediterranean. It boasts an impressive raised terrace on the second floor, accessed directly from the living room. The rest of this floor is completed by two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with two single beds), a joined but independent living room and kitchen, and a bathroom with shower and mosquito net. On the lower floor is the third bedroom, with independent access and a double bed and two single bunk beds; and the lower garden equipped with relaxation areas where you can enjoy the aroma of jasmine and the fresh east wind from the sea.
But Quico's house is also the little museum of a great traveler. Quico is the architect of a project that took him on a big bike (a big bike that allows him to pedal more than two meters off the ground) through 28 countries and more than 34,000 km over 34 months of travel. From this same house, which we present to you, to Malaysia by bike. And in this house are gathered most of his souvenirs and photos from those years (including the largest known collection of beach and desert sands).
So it's not just a magnificent vacation home just 100 meters from the seafront, sleeping 8. It also allows Quico to continue traveling at a very particular speed, as he himself explains: "One of the things I love most about traveling by bike is seeing the smiles you make people smile when they see you. That someone I don't know smiles just because I'm doing what I love is the best fuel for my bike. One day I got on the bike and started riding through the mountains; and I thought about counting the people who smiled at me, waved at me or stopped to take photos with me. In two and a half hours I counted 254 people! That means I'm traveling at over 100 smiles an hour!!!! :)....Pour that later they'll say that the bike is a slow vehicle!
So Quico travels "at 100 smiles an hour" and that's what his project is called if you want to look it up.
