Welcome to Grasse, the capital of perfume. For a vacation in the sunshine of the Côte d'Azur, we offer you this magnificent building steeped in history, "La Pagerie", which can accommodate up to 9 people.
The interior is spacious and comfortably furnished. You'll be just a few minutes from the world-famous perfume factories, and 15/20 minutes from the center of Cannes and the beaches.
Welcome to La Pagerie, a charming villa in Grasse, a 260m2 residence steeped in history that can accommodate up to 9 people, where every detail has been carefully thought out to offer an unforgettable stay.
As soon as you walk through the doors, you'll be greeted by a majestic 30m2 entrance hall, adorned with refined architectural details. Let yourself be seduced by the elegant and welcoming atmosphere that reigns in every corner of the villa.
This exceptional residence features four spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room and toilet, guaranteeing privacy and comfort for all guests.
On the first floor, two ornate bedrooms await you: one with a double bed and private shower room, and the other with three children's beds, perfect for younger guests.
Upstairs, two further bedrooms of over 20m2 offer a haven of peace, with sumptuous king-size beds, work desks for those who need to stay connected, and private shower rooms too.
The spacious 60m2 living room is the heart of the villa, with its high ceilings, large windows overlooking the lush garden, and ultra-comfortable, quality furnishings. It's the ideal place to relax with family or friends, whether watching TV, reading in peace or just chilling out.
The fully equipped kitchen is a gourmet's paradise, with its top-of-the-range appliances. The adjacent dining room, bathed in natural light, offers generous space for memorable meals in the company of loved ones.
The 2,700m2 garden is an oasis of tranquility, and with its listed historical heritage, you'll have the privilege of discovering its fascinating history. Relax by the swimming pool. The sunny terrace, equipped with comfortable deckchairs, elegant garden furniture and a barbecue, is the perfect place to relax and recharge under the Côte d'Azur sun.
This villa is ideally located in the charming town of Grasse, famous for its enchanting perfumes and historic heritage. Explore the picturesque alleyways, visit the town's famous perfume factories or discover the exotic gardens for which Grasse is famous.
You'll be ideally located 20 minutes from Cannes, 30 minutes from Antibes and 35 minutes from Nice airport.
A brief history of the Villa :
The garden is part of a very large old property belonging to the Rothschild family, which until the beginning of the 20th century extended over the eastern hills of the town of Grasse.
Alice de Rothschild (1847-1922) employed over 100 gardeners and began spending her winters on the Côte d'Azur. In 1887 she bought 100 hectares of land among the perfume fields of Grasse and began building a house and one of the most ostentatious and extravagant gardens ever seen.
It featured numerous exotic plants, palms, cacti, aloes, etc., many of which can still be seen in the villa's garden, as well as the water basin from the same period.
In April 1891, Queen Victoria came to Grasse, and one of the main reasons for her visit was to see Alice de Rothschild's extensive gardens.
In keeping with British tradition, Queen Victoria was invited to plant a tree in the Rothschild gardens.
Napoleon also had his first rendezvous with Josephine, his first wife, in the garden where you'll be spending your vacation.
This is why the property is named "LA PAGERIE", after Josephine's parents' plantation on the island of Martinique.
TRAVELER ACCESS
Travelers will have exclusive use of the entire property during their stay. Keys will be handed over from 4pm at the accommodation address.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Linen is provided for stays of 6 nights or more, but is optional at extra cost for stays of less than 6 nights and on request.
An additional payment may be required for the tourist tax depending on the booking platform chosen.
