Located between Cholet and Doué La Fontaine, come and stay at La Gaucherie Aux Dames, in Montilliers. A comfortable gîte with a magnificent, unobstructed view over the countryside: a calm, soothing environment surrounded by nature. The site is built on the ruins of a castle and convent, now a farm and tourist accommodation.
The stone building has a special charm thanks to its large open fireplace and beautiful wooden beams. Inside, you'll find a 30m² living room with dining area for 6 to 8 people, lounge with sofa, armchairs and TV. In the adjoining kitchen, you'll never tire of admiring the view during breakfast or while cooking!
Also on the ground floor is a master suite with 140x190cm bed, shower room and toilet. A second shower room with toilet is located on the first floor.
Upstairs, a small mezzanine leads to the 9m² bedroom (17m² floor area). It features 1 x 160x200cm bed and 1 x 90x190cm bed. On the other side of the mezzanine, a small 8m² room with 2 90x190cm beds is available for children.
Outside, enjoy a private garden of approx. 250m² with covered area, garden furniture, barbecue, deckchairs and swing. From the garden, you'll have a view of the small pond and the fields. You may come across horses, sheep and cows on the property... Hiking trails, mountain biking and horse riding nearby.
Nearby: Doué la Fontaine Biopark 20 minutes away, Saumur 40 minutes, Angers 45 minutes, Puy du Fou 50 minutes. Also worth a visit: Camifolia in Chemillé, the Parc Oriental in Maulévrier, the Musée des Métiers in Sevremoine, the Anjou-Saumur vineyards and the Layon valley.
The gîte is located in a complex with the owners' house, 4 tourist accommodations in all, and the farm (sheep, flower seed and strawberry cultivation). Gather up to 12 people on site! (see references H49G015038 and H49G018872, adjoining Logis du Lys).

Access: Coming from Angers, before the village of Montilliers, take the direction of Valanjou. The road twists and turns downhill, crossing a river. After the bridge, turn left onto La Montée. At the next crossroads, turn left into Vihiers. 500m on your left. Go downhill past the two large pillars. Coming from Cholet: Take the Le Voide exit. After the château, at the small roundabout, turn left, Le Voide, Thouarcé. After 500 m, when the road forks, turn right, direction Machelles, Thouarcé, following the river. Follow the river for 3-4 km until you come to a rise through a small wood. At the top of the hill, it's signposted La Gaucherie aux Dames. Descrendre past the two large pillars and you're there! Coming from Saumur, follow signs for Doué la Fontaine/Vihiers, then Montilliers. Leaving the village of Montilliers, follow signs for Valanjou. The road twists and turns downhill, crossing a river. After the bridge, turn left onto La Montée. At the next crossroads, turn left towards Vihiers. 500m on your left. Go downhill past the two large pillars. Longitude -0.529066 and Latitude: 47.179209
