Welcome to the Péniche Le Makara on the Île de la Barthelasse, a haven of peace in the heart of Avignon! Moored on the Île de la Barthelasse, our barge offers a natural escape just a few minutes from the historic centre of Avignon. The ideal place for nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity.
The barge has two en-suite bedrooms, ideal for couples, small families or groups of friends. The fully-equipped kitchen (hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, etc.) lets you prepare your meals just like at home. Towels and bed linen are provided for your comfort.
The outdoor area is also well thought out, with an open-air dining area where you can enjoy your meals while taking in the view over the water, and a spa area where you can relax after a day exploring Avignon's famous monuments, such as the Palais des Papes or the Pont d'Avignon. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the island on our charming barge, offering all modern comforts in an enchanting setting.
You can cruise along the banks of the Rhône in our canoes or visit the historic centre of Avignon by hiring our bikes, which are available on our pontoon. Cycle paths and hiking trails are in the immediate vicinity.
