Location
Perpignan, the capital of Roussillon and the Eastern Pyrenees, is nicknamed "la belle Catalane". It owes this nickname to its strong Catalan identity, which it shared with Dalí, the master of surrealism, who in 1965 proclaimed the Perpignan train station the center of the world. Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees, the town is ideally located, 10 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea, 30 minutes from the Spanish border and 1 h 30 from the mountains and ski resorts.
