Outdoor areas and swimming pool
Borgo Badia is immersed in the verdant Umbrian countryside, surrounded by secular olive groves in a small oasis of peace and tranquility. Surrounding the dominant structure is a vast garden of around 10,000 m2, very well maintained with terracotta vases, flowers, bushes and other trees; it is completely enclosed by natural hedges and wire fencing. The main body features a vast stone portico equipped for alfresco dining with a large table, in addition to 2 portable barbecues and a gazebo with table. "La Cascina", detached from the Borgo, in a reserved area, features a garden of approx. 400 m2 fully fenced with wire mesh, 2 pedestrian access gates to a small portico equipped for al fresco dining with table, chairs and a portable barbecue. "La Cascina" is about 150 meters from the rectangular swimming pool measuring 7x15 meters with a depth varying from 1 to 1.70 meters; it is set in the magnificent lawn garden with its olive trees, in a quiet, panoramic position. Surrounding the pool is the paved solarium area, equipped with 25 sunbeds, 3 parasols, 7 gazebo umbrellas and an outdoor shower. A ping-pong table, swing and slide complete the outdoor area. All outdoor areas are well-maintained and well-tended. Access to the interior of the property is via a pedestrian gate.
Interiors
The entire village (approx. 520 m2), made up of 6 residential units, has been completely restructured and comprises two distinct structures: the central body of "Borgo Badia" and "La Cascina", carefully maintained by owners who have left nothing to chance, taking care even of the smallest details in the decoration characterized by period furniture, rustic tables, wrought-iron beds, linen curtains, all of which make the apartments welcoming. On the first floor, the main entrance leads to the main body of Borgo Badia, comprising a living room with sofas, fireplace and TV, a small study and the laundry room (washing machine, ironing board and iron). In relation to the main entrance, with independent access from the portico, are an apartment on the right and one on the left: "Abete" and "il Pino", both consisting of a living room with table, TV, cooking area (electric oven, 4-burner hob, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, moka coffee machine, blender, juicer, kettle), double bedroom with air conditioning, bathroom with shower. The entire "Abete" apartment is barrier-free and suitable for people with reduced mobility. Next to the entrance, an internal staircase takes you up to the second floor, where you'll find 2 apartments: "Ulivo" consists of a living room with dining table and TV (from here, 7 steps lead up to a small private garden with equipped gazebo), a cooking area (electric oven, 4-burner hob, small fridge with freezer, extractor hood, toaster, moka coffee machine, blender, juicer, kettle), a double bedroom with four-poster bed and air conditioning, a bathroom with shower. "Limone", consisting of a spacious living room with table that can comfortably accommodate the whole group, sofa, fireplace, TV, access to a partly covered terrace equipped with table and chairs, cooking area (electric oven, 4-burner hob, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, mocha coffee machine, blender, juicer, kettle), double bedroom with air conditioning, bathroom with shower. To the rear of the main entrance, next to the pedestrian gate, is the "Cedro" (9 steps), comprising a living room with table, TV, cooking area (electric oven, 4-burner hob, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, mocha coffee machine, blender, juicer, kettle), double bedroom with air conditioning, bathroom with shower. Detached from the central body of Borgo Badia, in a reserved area and with entrance through two pedestrian gates, you reach "La Cascina" (approx. 120 m2), a delightful 17th-century stone and brick house, completely restructured in 2009. Two doors lead to the first floor, comprising a living room with two sofas, TV, wooden beams and stone motifs on the walls, a kitchen (microwave, 4-burner hob, fridge with freezer, extractor hood, toaster, moka coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, blender, juicer, kettle) with access to the small portico equipped for alfresco dining. A small study area in what used to be the "old cellar" and a bathroom with shower complete the first floor. Next to the living room, an internal iron and wood staircase takes us up to the second floor, where we find three air-conditioned double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.

Borgo Badia is situated in the municipality of Castiglione del Lago, around Lake Trasimeno, framed by secular olive groves in a panoramic position over the Umbrian countryside, an ideal place for relaxing walks. Le Bourg is presented as a unique proposition, ideal for a group of friends who wish to spend their vacations enjoying each other's company, but without giving up their own privacy.

Important information
The swimming pool is open from 01/05 to 30/09. Pets are allowed on payment of 50 Euro. Next to the property is a small "Club" run by the owners, who organize delicious breakfasts and dinners on request.
Activities and Distances
Borgo Badia is located in Badia, on the outskirts of Castiglione del Lago. Inside the village you can take a guided tour of the vineyards, the secular olive grove and the winery. The village of Badia lies on a hillside overlooking Lake Trasimeno, and is the ideal starting point for exploring many of the historic towns of Umbria and Tuscany, including Cortona, Montepulciano and the incredible Terre Cretesi, which can be reached in less than an hour by car. Castiglione del Lago is well worth a visit: a medieval Umbrian town with its historic center, the Lion Rock, the Palazzo della Corgna and the church of San Domenico. On the other hand, the lakeside is undoubtedly the ideal place for lovers of sun, sport, long walks and trekking.
