Outdoors and swimming pool
Borgo Badia is immersed in the green Umbrian countryside, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees in a small oasis of peace and tranquility. Around the dominant structure there is a large garden of approximately 10,000 sq.mt., very well kept with terracotta vases, flowers, bushes and various trees, completely fenced with natural hedges and wire mesh. The main body is equipped with a spacious stone-work porch, furnished for outdoor dining with a large table, 2 portable barbecues and a gazebo with table. "La Cascina", detached from the hamlet in a private area, is characterized by a garden of approximately 400 sq.mt., completely fenced with metal mesh, 2 pedestrian access gates and a small porch equipped for outdoor dinners with table, chairs and a portable barbecue. "La Cascina" is about 150 meters from the rectangular swimming pool which measures 7x15 meters with a depth ranging from 1 to 1.70 metres, located in the beautiful garden planted with lawn and olive trees, in a quiet and panoramic position. The paved solarium area spreads around the swimming pool, containing 25 sunbeds, 3 umbrellas, 7 sunshade gazebos, outdoor shower. The exteriors are completed by a ping-pong table, swing and slide. All outdoor areas are well maintained and cared for. The property is accessible via a pedestrian gate.
The entire hamlet (approximately 520 sq.mt), made up of 6 residential units, completely renovated, is divided into two distinct structures: the central body of "Borgo Badia" and "la Cascina", carefully finished by the owners who took care of even the smallest details with the furnishings characterized by period pieces, rustic tables, wrought iron beds, linen curtains, and welcoming apartments. On the ground floor, the main entrance leads to the central body of Borgo Badia consisting of a living room with sofas, fireplace, TV, a small study and the laundry room (washing machine, iron and ironing board). In respect to the main entrance, with independent access from the portico, there are two apartments, one on its right side and one on its left side: "Abete" and "il Pino", each consisting of living room with table, TV, kitchen corner (electric oven, 4 burner hob, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, moka coffee machine, blender, juicer, kettle), a double bedroom with air conditioning, a bathroom with shower. The entire "Abete" apartment, barrier-free, is suitable for the disabled guests. Adjacent to the entrance, via an internal staircase, we go up to the first floor where there are 2 apartments: "Ulivo" consisting of a living room with table and TV (from here you access, via 7 steps, a small private garden with furnished gazebo), a kitchen corner (electric oven, 4 burner hob, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, moka coffee machine, blender, juicer, kettle), a double bedroom with canopy bed and air conditioning, a bathroom with shower. "Limone", consisting of a large living room with a table that can accommodate the entire group, sofa, fireplace, TV, access onto a partly covered terrace equipped with table and chairs, kitchen corner (electric oven, 4 burner hob, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, moka coffee machine, blender, juicer, kettle), a double bedroom with air conditioning, a bathroom with shower. At the back of the main entrance, adjacent to the pedestrian gate, you enter (via 9 steps) the "Cedro", consisting of a living room with table, TV, kitchen corner (electric oven, 4 burner hob, small fridge with freezer, hood fan, toaster, moka coffee machine, blender, juicer, kettle), a double bedroom with air conditioning, a bathroom with shower.
Detached from the central body of Borgo Badia, in a reserved area and with entrance via two pedestrian gates, you enter "La Cascina" (approximately 120 sq.mt), a delightful detached house in stone and brick dating back to the 1600s and completely renovated in 2009. From two doors you access the ground floor consisting of a living room with two sofas, TV, wooden beams and stone details on the walls, kitchen (microwave, 4 burner hob, fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, moka coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, blender,
juicer, kettle) with access to the small porch equipped for outdoor dinners. The ground floor is completed by a small study corner converted from the "old cellar" and a bathroom with shower. Adjacent to the entrance into the living room, through an internal iron and wood staircase, we go up to the first floor where there are three double bedrooms with air conditioning, a bathroom with shower.

Borgo Badia is located in the municipality of Castiglione del Lago, around Lake Trasimeno, framed by centuries-old olive trees in a panoramic position overlooking the Umbrian countryside, which offers the ideal area for relaxing walks. Il Borgo is presented as a unique proposal, perfect for a group of friends who want to spend their holidays enjoying each other's company without giving up their privacy.

Important information
The swimming pool is open from the 1st of May to the 30th of September. Pets are allowed upon payment of Euro 50. Adjacent to the property there is a small "Club" managed by the owners who, upon request, can organize delicious breakfasts and dinners.
Activities and Distances
Borgo Badia is located in Badia, near Castiglione del Lago. Inside the hamlet it is possible to take a guided tour of the vineyards, the centuries-old olive grove and the cellar. The town of Badia is located on a hill, on the side overlooking Lake Trasimeno and is an ideal starting point for exploring many of the historic Umbrian cities, but also Tuscan ones such as Cortona, Montepulciano or the incredible Cretan lands reachable in less than an hour's drive. Castiglione del Lago is worth a visit, a medieval village in Umbria, with its historic center, the Rocca del Leone, the Palazzo della Corgna and the church of San Domenico. The lakeside, however, is undoubtedly the ideal place for sun, sports, hikings and trekking lovers.
