The Convent of the Bernardas, located in the heart of the charming Algarvian city of Tavira, was commissioned in 1509 by D. Manuel I and later handed over, in 1530, to the Sisters of Saint Bernard, nuns of the Cistercian Order.

The rehabilitation of this building earned Eduardo Souto de Moura, architect, the Pritzker Prize and the European Prize for Intervention in Architectural Heritage in 2017.

The solid wood furniture and simple decoration faithfully maintain the original design of the project's author, giving the space the true balance envisioned for the entire endeavor. The Convent of the Bernardas, also known as the Monastery of Our Lady of Mercy, was the first convent established in the Algarve.

Kitchen: Equipped with various appliances, such as electric hob, kettle, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, 'Delta Q' capsule coffee machine, filter coffee machine, dishwasher, and washing machine. Basic kitchen utensils provided.

Bedrooms: 2 bedrooms equipped with air conditioning, both with wardrobes, one with a double bed, located on the ground floor overlooking the pool and garden. Second bedroom on the mezzanine, with 1 single bed and a trundle bed, situated on the second floor, above the living room. Bed linen provided.

Bathroom: 2 bathrooms in total, all en suite with the bedrooms. Equipped with hairdryer, bathtub, shower base, washbasin, bidet, and toilet. Bath towels provided.

Access: Access only by stairs to the upper floors.

Pool: 2 common saltwater pools.

Parking: Private parking space inside the development.
