A character-filled gîte at the gateway to Aubrac, close to Lac du Moulinet, offering a warm, authentic atmosphere.
Close to the owners' home, with its own entrance onto a large south-facing terrace, you'll enjoy the atmosphere of a family vacation home: barbecue, garden furniture on 400m² of enclosed grounds with a pétanque area and table tennis. For your comfort, we've fitted out the living room with sofa, TV, wood-burning stove (wood supplied); the kitchen (fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster) opens onto the living room; one bedroom with a double bed (160cm) and 1 bedroom with two single beds (90cm); shower room, separate WC. Linen room with washing machine and tumble dryer. (cot and high chair available on request).
Pets are not allowed. (Except assistance dogs). Couffinet is a charming little hamlet. It has always been a stopover village before and during the stagecoach era, on the Béziers-Clermont route. There used to be a post office and several wheelwright's workshops, traces of which remain.
The Château de la Baume, the Monts d'Aubrac, the Gévaudan wolves, the European bison, etc. are all within easy reach of the gîte.
Numerous hikes and treasure hunts depart from the gîte.
New 2024 wifi for TV (fiber optic), ideal for telecommuting.
