Location
The pleasant tourist resort of Sévrier nestles between the entrance to the Parc naturel des Bauges and the western shore of the great Lake Annecy. The old Roman road running through Annecy towards Faverges has given way to a long cycle path running along the shore and its preserved reed beds. At the port of Sévrier, a major nautical base around the lake with 400 moorings, sailing activities are particularly well catered for, as is swimming from the beautiful shaded beach with its fully renovated facilities. Also very popular are the two museums: the bell museum (Musée Paccard) and the Savoyard traditions museum (Ecomusée du Lac d'Annecy).
