On the Great Belt, you'll find sandy beaches suitable for children, beaches for surfers and good waters for sailing and fishing. Near Slagelse is the ancient Viking castle of Trelleborg, one of the best-preserved castles from the Viking era. Reersø is a peninsula with a small fishing port and pleasure boats. Take a 9 km tour of the peninsula and discover this nature reserve with its many rare plants and animals. The Reersø peninsula is particularly famous for its tailless cats, which live only here. Visit Korsør, at the foot of the famous Great Belt Bridge. Admire Korsør and its ancient fortifications in the heart of the city, or go shopping in the harbor arcades with their many fine boutiques. From Korsør, you can also take a cutter to go fishing.
