Very beautiful 4* classified cottage, in an old winegrower's house, ideal for a family with children.
The property has a large enclosed garden of five thousand m², in a very quiet village, located in the heart of Franche-Comté: Amondans is a charming village in the heart of the Loue and Lison valleys (two very beautiful rivers), halfway between the capital Besançon, the Haut-Doubs and its ski resorts and the Jura vineyards.
It is a very good starting point for walking in a very close area, in the middle of the landscapes immortalized by Courbet, but also to visit the main tourist sites of Franche-Comté, and even possibly push as far as neighbouring Switzerland.
Many sites and activities are possible nearby: The region offers many natural sites such as the source of the Lison or the source of the Loue. Ornans, the Venice of the East is 12 km away and there is the Courbet Museum. You can also canoe on the river Loue, climbing, climbing, via ferrata,... Above Ornans, in Charbonnière is the Dino Zoo.
In Besançon, the regional capital, you will find many museums, and the famous citadel of Vauban, a unesco World Heritage Site. (the citadel is a very good idea for children to visit, it houses a zoo, an aquarium, an insectarium and several museums).
Further southwest, heading towards the Jura, you will find the first vineyards of the Jura, and Salins les bains ñ with its thermal baths and salt marshes listed as a unesco World Heritage Site. You can also learn to paraglide from Mont Poupet.
In the direction of Switzerland, you will encounter the typical landscapes of the Haut-Doubs, pastures, spruces and tuyé farms. Lake Saint-Point sometimes turns into France's largest skating rink in winter.
Many other sports activities are possible near the cottage (horse riding, karting, mountain biking, cross-country skiing in winter). Franche-Comté is also a gastronomic destination of choice for its Jura wines, cheeses and famous smoked sausages.
