Description of the region
A spectacular wild coastline to the west, beautiful sandy beaches to the east, the 14-kilometer Quiberon peninsula offers an immediately appealing variety of landscapes. One of Brittany's most popular seaside resorts, it is also the departure point for Belle-île, Houat and Hoëdic.
Facing west, this magnificent wild coastline stretches 8 kilometers from Château Turpault to Pointe du Percho. Jagged cliffs, arches carved by the waves... Even on a calm day, the sight of waves crashing against the rocks is breathtaking. Stop off at the pointe de Beg-er-Goalennec. From here, the panorama of the open sea and Belle-île is splendid.
Beach side or wild side?
The Quiberon peninsula is a major tourist attraction in Brittany, with some 30km of coastline. Renowned for its long, beautiful beaches, it has many facets for those who take the time to discover it. White sand, emerald sea, brown rocks, but not only... The wild coast road is anchored by numerous megalithic sites, and inland by picturesque hamlets.
An active destination
Quiberon offers a wide range of marine activities, including hiking, sea fishing, sailing, sand yachting, sea kayaking and kite-surfing. The peninsula is one of Brittany's finest surfing spots. The "sentier de Grande Randonnée" (long-distance hiking trail) circles the Presqu'île, offering a delightful view, and cycling circuits criss-cross the entire peninsula.
