The nearest beach can be reached quickly by car. During your stay, be sure to visit Opatija and Rijeka as well as other beautiful places in the surrounding area. The town of Matulji, also known as the gateway to the Opatija Riviera, is famous for its bell-making tradition, which is on the UNESCO list of intangible heritage. In the local taverns, you can try local specialities as well as jarbola, a wine with a specific taste made from the local grape variety.
