In the center of Alleyrac, a village of 120 inhabitants, this 2 épis gîte is an ideal starting point for short hikes accessible to all. On foot, by bike or with a donkey (Rando-âne, 50 m from the gîte, offers donkey rentals by the hour, day or longer), the village boasts a network of signposted footpaths on the Mézenc plateau and bordering the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park. In the Sucs de Breysse, a biological site remarkable for its flora and fauna, the landscape has been shaped by ancient volcanic activity. A circuit starting from Alleyrac offers a chance to discover them. For winter sports enthusiasts, the Les Estables ski resort, 10 km away, offers downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snow kiting and tobogganing...
In the hamlet of Malhac, the Béate museum is open to visitors. 10 km away, Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille offers a rich cultural offering: visit the Abbey church and museums (Musée des Croyances Populaires, Musée de l'Ancienne Ecole, Espace Culturel Européen), Brass Music Festival, etc. 25 km away, Le Puy-en-Velay completes the range of leisure, sports and cultural activities on offer: Crozatier museum, aqua-ludic center, cinema...
On the village square, l'Ecole offers all the services of a café-restaurant: food, bread and groceries. Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille has a full range of shops, including a weekly market on Tuesday mornings and a local producers' market every Thursday evening in July and August. On Saturday mornings, the market in Le Puy-en-Velay surprises all visitors with the diversity of farm and artisanal products on offer: charcuterie and meats, cheeses, fruit and vegetables, and, of course, green lentils from Le Puy. In the heart of the village, the gîte features a large living room with open-plan kitchen (fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and ceramic hob, flat-screen TV). The sleeping area comprises 3 bright bedrooms, the first two with double beds (140cm) and built-in closets, and the last with twin beds (90cm). The bathroom has a large shower.
Barbecue and garden table available in the gîte's private, enclosed courtyard.
The gîte is located in the village center, close to the bell tower, which rings from 8am to 8pm every day.
