The Gorges de l'Hérault campsite is located in the Cévennes, close to exceptional UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the cirque de Navacelles and the Cévennes National Park.
Swimming in the swimming pool or on the private beaches of the Hérault river within the campsite.
Presentation
Les Gorges de l'Hérault campsite runs along the river for 400 m and offers access to private beaches. Swimming all season long in the river or in the pool.
Numerous excursions from the campsite to visit the Cévennes: an authentic region listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walks, hikes, cycling, caves, exceptional natural sites, waterfalls ......
Services, leisure activities and entertainment
There are 2 play areas, a boules pitch and ping pong tables. Access to the river is from the campsite, with 2 private beaches. Barbecues are available. A washing machine is available.
The swimming pool is open from June 15 to September 15. The restaurant and bar are open in July and August. Children's activities and evening events take place in July and August, as does the bread service.
Description of the region
We are located in the Cévennes National Park, ideal for all kinds of nature activities. There are local producers and markets (goat's cheese, sweet onions, etc.). You can attend the transhumance at the beginning of June.
We're also close to the cirque de Navacelles, classified as a "grand site de France". Not to be missed.
Numerous caves are also accessible, including the Grotte des Demoiselles, 20 minutes away.
A little further afield, you'll have easy access to Montpellier or Nîmes and its arena, the Pont du Gard and the beaches of Frontignan , Sète or Palavas les flots.
