Rural House is located in a totally natural environment, in a large meadow of the town of Luyego de Somoza, Leonés Municipality in the heart of the Maragatería Region, characterized by the great architectural wealth that some of its towns still conserve.
In Luyego is the Hermitage of the Virgen de los Remedios, Patron Saint of the Maragatería.
Multiple activities can be carried out in our environment, there is the Sierra del Teleno with several hiking trails, the Duerna river for fishing, near a swamp.
Just 17Km. From Luyego is the City of Astorga, where you can visit several very interesting places;
The Cathedral, the Museum of the Roads in Gaudí's Episcopal Palace, the Plaza de los Maragatos, the Chololate Museum, etc.
In León Capital there is the Basilica of San Isidoro, San Marcos, the Cathedral, Casa Botines, etc.
Las Médulas are clay formations, formerly in Roman times they were a gold mine.
On your visit to Las Médulas you have to visit the galleries of La Cuovona and La Cueva Encantada, as well as enjoy the walk through the Centennial Chestnut Trees.
