A beautiful Périgord stone house in the countryside (all shops 10 km away). The kitchen is equipped with fridge-freezer, oven, dishwasher and microwave, and opens onto the dining room with wood-burning stove and the living room with 2 sofas and 2 armchairs, TV and internet access. First floor: bedroom with 1 x 160x200 bed. A shower room with walk-in shower and separate WC. Upstairs, a bedroom with 2 beds 90x190 cm and separate WC. Electric heating. From the covered terrace, you'll enjoy a beautiful view over the 4000 m2 unenclosed garden, with a 200m2 enclosed area in front. Garden furniture, sun loungers, barbecue and table tennis are at your disposal. Linen, sheets, electricity and wood included. Towels 5 €/person/change. End-of-stay cleaning €80 extra. Heating included. A millstone can still be seen in the garden of this renovated former mill. A stream called "Le Caudeau" is just 50 m from the gîte.
This house is located between Périgueux, a town classified as a 'Ville d'Art et d'Histoire' (City of Art and History) 30 km away, Bergerac in the heart of the vineyards 28 km away, and Sarlat, a medieval city with an exceptional heritage 55 km away. A footpath passes right in front of the gîte, making for great walks with family or friends. Dordogne Valley (castles, villages...) and Vézère Valley (prehistoric sites, Lascaux 4 International Center of Cave Art in Montignac 50 km, Les Eyzies de Tayac 35 km...).

Former managers of a building design office, now retired. Originally from the Vergt region, in 1993 we decided to restore an old mill and barn belonging to our grandfather.
Located in a valley classified as a "natural site to be protected", it seemed obvious to us to revive old stones and a forgotten corner of Périgord.
