Rental located on the heights of the town of Stresa (a posh and blingbling town). The house itself is pretty, but inside it's from another age: old-fashioned decor that could do with a major refresh The bathrooms are old-fashioned (not to mention infested with insects). The kitchen is certainly functional, but the electric hob works anarchically, the microwave is so old I couldn't date it (it doesn't work), the cooking utensils are so worn that the Teflon on the pans is half gone. Oh, and the electric current is 3Kwh, so you can't use several appliances at the same time, at the risk of blowing your fuse. There's no real sitting area, just uncomfortable wicker armchairs and wooden benches. Bedding is not too bad. The cleanliness of the accommodation leaves a lot to be desired (spiders, webs, dust, dirty walls/traces of liquid, dusty and dirty curtains...). The house has 2 deckchairs (without cushions) and several chairs. The view is only visible from the bedrooms; you won't see anything from the garden or the "living room". There was a strong smell of dampness coming from the laundry room, which forced us to leave this door closed and air the accommodation as soon as possible. The location of the house is a passageway for bikers, which means a lot of noise pollution. Stresa's beaches are pebbly and very small. In short, we spent 1 week with 6 people in this house and we don't recommend it (please note that locasun is only an intermediary; you will be in contact with another rental agency once your payment has been made).
