Bellano also enjoys a Yacht club for both children and adults and boasts excellent public transport links with a frequent bus service to Varenna and the surrounding hillside towns, a train service to Lecco- Milan and a main road which leads to the beautiful resort town of Varenna in just 7 minutes.
Local activities include hiking to the spectacular natural gorge, which was created 15 million years ago and which is a breathtaking walk.
Guests can also enjoy walking up to the famous medieval Castello di Vezio above Varenna, where throughout the summer months evening banquets, music festivals and falconry displays are performed and enjoyed.
From the picturesque resort town of Varenna guests will find even more restaurants and cafes to enjoy as well as the many boutique clothes and craft shops which line the charming cobbled streets and romantic piazzas.
A frequent car and passenger ferry service also operates from Varenna to the other famous golden triangle towns of Bellagio and Menaggio.
