In Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, in an old house, we offer this charming apartment for rent, repainted new in 2023, but which retains a little old-fashioned charm. It's 80 meters from the main beach, has a surface area of 40 m² and can accommodate up to 4 travelers, ideally 2 adults and 2 children. Located on the first floor, it comprises an attractive 20 m² living room, an open-plan fitted kitchen, a beautiful bedroom and a bathroom. Wifi ( low speed ), we're waiting for you!
The apartment is composed as follows
Day area :
- A 20 m² living room with TV, sofa bed (double) and dining area with extendable table (4 to 6 place settings).
- An open kitchen equipped with, among other things: electric kettle, oven, microwave oven, toaster, hotplates, filter coffee machine...
Sleeping area :
- A bedroom with a double bed (140×190), an extra mattress under the single bed (90×200) and storage space.
- Bathroom with bathtub.
- Separate WC.
For even greater comfort, the owners have decided to invest in the following additional equipment: washing machine, cot, plancha, ironing board and iron.
The apartment is ideally located in the center of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, in a very pleasant environment within a quiet, flower-filled residence. Nearby, you'll benefit from all the essential stores as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars, market...
Activities :
- The beach and "le point plage" (a structure offering all water sports activities: paddle, surf, J80, catamaran lessons and supervised sea outings) are nearby. The large beach is 2 km long, ideal for strolling, jogging and family outings. Many other activities are available: hiking on the coastal path (GR34), water sports (sailing club 700 m away), fishing port (1.5 km), horse riding (riding school 3 km away), accrobranches (3 km)...
Nearby, not-to-be-missed stops on the Emerald Coast:
- Cap Fréhel, to the west, a listed bird sanctuary, whose cliffs tower 70 meters above the sea.
- Nearby, take the time to visit Fort la Latte, built in the 14th century on a rocky cape, majestically overlooking the sea.
- A former corsair town, the fortified city of Saint-Malo has preserved its magnificent ramparts and offers a splendid panorama of the sea. Excursions to the Chausey and Channel Islands are also possible. While a tour of the ramparts is a must, the city of Robert Surcouf and Jacques Cartier will charm you with its picturesque cobbled streets, rich shipowners' houses and castle.
- Walkers and cyclists can follow the signposted route through the Rance valley, where mills, malouinières and fishing villages punctuate the landscape.
- Another not-to-be-missed stopover is the famous seaside resort of Dinard, which has preserved some magnificent villas from its Belle Époque past: the Clair de Lune promenade or the Malouine promenade will show you some of them.
- Among other destinations, the seaside resorts of Saint-Briac, Saint-Lunaire and Saint-Jacut are less than 30 minutes away, as are Erquy and Les Sables d'Or. Inland, Dinan, Plancoët and Lamballe abound with sightseeing opportunities.
Transportation :
If you choose to come by car, you'll be able to park free of charge or in a paying parking lot close to the accommodation.
For other modes of transport, here's some information you may find useful:
- Bus: Les Mielles (stop 400m from the apartment) is served by several regular bus lines (timetables on breizhgo.bzh):
route 31: Lamballe (SNCF train station) via Matignon and Plancoët
route 14: Saint-Malo (SNCF station) via Saint-Jacut de la Mer and Ploubalay
line 2: Saint-Brieuc (SNCF station) via Erquy
- Nearest train station: Lamballe station, about 34 minutes by car.
- Nearest airport: Rennes airport about 1h22 by car.
Other remarks :
- Bed linen and towels are not included and can be provided on request, at extra cost (rental and payment to be made with our partner on site). Rates are given as an indication and are subject to change by our partner.
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future visitors. Please leave in a clean and tidy condition and clean all appliances after use.
- Free wifi available. Wifi in Saint-Cast is below average speed, and access is often dependent on the weather. Consequently, the available internet connection is not suitable for intensive use (online video games, teleworking).
- Pets accepted on request, for an extra charge of €15, please specify when booking.
- The apartment is on the mezzanine floor of a 3-storey stone building that opens onto the courtyard via an outside staircase (4 steps).
- You'll be given a key to the shared cellar, where you can store bikes, baby carriages and windsurf boards.
- The apartment is not handicapped-accessible due to the presence of an outside staircase.
- The apartment was refurbished in January 2023 to make it more comfortable.
