This is where you'll find the Metropol Parasol: the world's largest wooden structure, an avant-garde architectural project by renowned Berlin architect Jürgen Mayer. A unique reticular structure providing shade to this public square surrounded by historic buildings. Born amidst controversy, it now sits comfortably among its older, monumental counterparts, integrated as if by magic into the skyline of terraces and parapets so characteristic of the city center. A meeting place for young and old, tourists and locals, businessmen and women and simply for leisure. This is Seville!


La Puerta de la Victoria, an apartment that blends classicism, Sevillian essence and the fabulous style of Amaro Sánchez de Moya, currently one of our most sought-after interior designers, stands at the gateway to all this. This two-bedroom apartment is the result of a renovation project that makes the most of the architectural features of the period Sevillian house in which it is located, and adds a highly distinctive flavor to its interior design. The result: a spectacular, functional and elegant home, discreet luxury with a masculine and seductive touch.


The property seduces you from the moment you cross the threshold: high ceilings, large windows, original woodwork and colorful hexagonal tiling testify to the apartment's Sevillian quality and character. The walls have been painted in seductive greens, blues and grays, and the rooms furnished with carefully selected pieces of different styles and origins.


A corridor leads from the entrance to the rest of the apartment. First, the kitchen, a classic style made modern by the green color palette. It's fully equipped with appliances and fixtures and opens onto an interior patio with tiled walls and furniture where you can enjoy a quiet breakfast.


The living room is at the end of the corridor, overlooking the street and bathed in natural light from two large windows. There's a sitting area with TV, sofa, chairs, coffee table, sideboard and sound system. All carefully chosen pieces, all of the highest quality and all different; versatile, so you can adapt the room to your own needs. We love Amaro's use of symmetry in his creations, almost as if he were setting up a small, opulent stage. The story is in the details: lamps, red-painted iron side tables, sumptuous textiles, curtains and upholstery used throughout to bring a masculine and trendy touch. A separate dining room includes a table and chairs for six.


The property has two double bedrooms of similar size, both bathed in natural light and overlooking the street through large windows with balconies. The first bedroom has twin beds and a rod for hanging clothes and a suitcase. The second bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom. In both rooms, the textiles used are the striking factor: a mix of velvet, silk, linen and cotton, in an expressive combination of designs that give the rooms a renewed air: upholstered headboards, intense, dramatic colors...


In addition to the private bathroom, there's another full bathroom with freestanding bathtub. Bathroom decoration has also been carefully chosen for a highly original result: painted walls, Macael marble (sourced from quarries in the Almeria region) and wall tiles matching the hexagonal tiling used throughout the property.


Plaza de la Encarnación is a strategic crossroads in the city center, just a stone's throw from the main tourist attractions. Covered by the now emblematic Metropol Parasol and its impressive viewpoint, historical heritage is omnipresent: the Church of the Annunciation, the Church of the Divine Redeemer and the Plaza de la Campana (Bell Square). New fashion boutiques, cafés and small restaurants have breathed new life into this district, now known as Seville's Soho, and the neighboring streets of Regina and Pérez Galdós will delight shoppers. In short, it's the ideal place to enjoy a Seville city break at any time of year, but perhaps especially at Easter, with its many processions and services in the many churches found here.
