About the city

The city has a cheerful, fun atmosphere that appeals to young and old alike. Stores and boutiques abound, and the best place to head is the main pedestrian street of Calle San Miguel, where stores line up to sell you goods of all kinds.

The old fishermen's quarter of El Bajondillo is at the end of Calle San Miguel, at the bottom of a steep staircase, where you'll find excellent seafood restaurants, souvenir stores and down below is El Bajondillo beach.



Torremolinos' seafront promenade stretches as far as the Benalmadena marina, and makes a pleasant evening stroll past the old fishing village of La Carihuela.
