Classified Tourist resort of the Bouches-du-Rhône, Carry-le-Rouet is located on the warm waters of the Mediterranean, between Martigues and Marignane. Facing Marseille, what was once a small fishing village has become over the years one of the department's star resorts, and one of the most posh as well.

Between the hills and the Mediterranean, along the Côte Bleue, this pearl that is Carry-le-Rouet enjoys a particularly pleasant climate, hot and dry in summer and rather mild in winter. A dynamic city, it is punctuated by numerous celebrations and festivities throughout the year, such as the "oursinades" (sea urchins tasting), which are played every Sunday in February, and its Boogie-woogie festival. For the record, it was in the early 16th century that the village of Carry-le-Rouet developed, acquiring a defensive tower before the railway brought its share of visitors during the twentieth century. Adored by Fernandel and Nina Simone, the small seaside resort quickly became a veritable Eden, first for the inhabitants of Marseille and then for all of France! As far as heritage is concerned, there are many visits that we recommend, to discover the slightest secrets of this beautiful Mediterranean city. The majestic structure of the Eaux-Salées viaduct can be discovered thanks to itineraries starting from the village, as well as the astonishing Notre-Dame du Rouet chapel. Situated on the Cap de la Vierge, to the east of the village, this 17th century building has all the features of the local architecture as we like it, made of old exposed stones. But if its visit is worth the detour, it is also (and above all!) for the incredible panorama it offers over the sea, the creeks that cut through the coast and the harbour of Marseille. Here, hikers will find many hiking trails, which will allow them to discover the most beautiful treasures of this outstanding seaside resort. In the direction of the Eaux Salées, the Bouchons, the Pain de Sucre (Carry-le-Rouet lighthouse), the Pierres Tombées (a site adored by painters and photographers), the Romaron massif dotted with caves and breathtaking panoramas, the Tuilière and the neighbouring towns, we challenge you not to succumb to the charm of this little corner of paradise!

With a preserved, authentic and generous nature, the town fascinates thanks to its exceptional landscapes, mixing blue sky, contrasting vegetation and turquoise sea to be damned. It is notably on its land that the Côte Bleue Regional Marine Park is located, which protects over 85 hectares of underwater fauna and flora. Accessible to all, you will be able to discover it with the help of masks and snorkels, from the Cap Rousset beach or the beach of Bouchons in particular, solo or during outings organised by guides from the reserve. In addition to scuba diving, many other nautical activities will be on hand for those who love to slide and experience sensations. Starting from the port and the beaches of the seaside resort, you can opt for a visit to the creeks by boat, a paddle session, sailing, fishing, kayaking or surfing on the Tuilière beach side, without forgetting the traditional and unavoidable volleyball games, lazy sessions, breakfast breaks with a view of the sea and swimming in the Big Blue...
