Fancy a sporting holiday? A holiday in the sunshine far from the beaten track, in the heart of nature? Head for the Ardèche, and more precisely, the small village of Saint-Vincent-de-Durfort.

Nestled behind one of the meanders of L'Eyrieux, Saint-Vincent-de-Durfort is located in the Ardèche department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Just a few steps from the Rhône, in the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park, this charming little village, made up of old houses organised around the central square (called "Jardinon"), is one of those authentic destinations, far from the tourist routes and therefore perfect for a holiday far from the crowds and their hustle and bustle. Also, take the time to stroll in the heart of its village to discover its crazy cachet. From the ruins of its old castle to the dam on the Boyon River, the unique character of Saint-Vincent-de-Durfort will be offered to you. Crossed by numerous marked hiking trails, the village is easy to visit and will offer you many surprises. The lake at Le Chambon de Bavas is particularly worth seeing; particularly appreciated by fishermen, Le Boyon is a perfect place to go for a walk to cool off in the summer heat. For family bathing, the Théoule beach in the neighbouring village of Ollières-sur-Eyrieux will be perfect: supervised during the summer period, it will allow you to bubble under the sun in peace and quiet, to swim or canoe on the lake. Not far away, the water park "Aquaparc" which has 7 slides, heated swimming pools, whirlpools and a solarium will also be ideal to make the most of the good weather in Ardèche. For more "natural" parentheses, the La Neuve bathing site, less than 10 minutes from Saint-Vincent-de-Durfort, seems to be the place to be: here, you can swim (free of charge) on Le Mezayon, in the heart of a superb waterfall, supervised in summer.

Dominated by the Serre de Gruas, Saint-Vincent-de-Durfort is a real little paradise for hiking fans. By bike or on foot, the summit of Le Gruas is a must during your stay: dominating the whole village, it offers incredible panoramas of the Monts d'Ardèche and the region. In addition to hiking and mountain bike rides, you can also opt for an acrobatic trail in the forest at Coux (18 kilometres away), and an excursion with donkeys at Chalencon, ideal for discovering the granite streets of this small "Village de Caractère" located 20 kilometres from Saint-Vincent-de-Durfort. Climbing, paragliding, via ferrata, but also caving, canyoning in Aubenas, via corda and water activities such as paddle, canoeing and kayaking on the Eyrieux and Rhône rivers will complete your sports stay in the heart of the Ardèche.
