About fifteen minutes west of Guingamp, Louargat is located in the Côtes-d'Armor department. About thirty minutes from the beaches of Saint-Michel-en-Grève and the beaches of the Pink Granite Coast, Louargat is the ideal place to stay to discover the most emblematic sites of this department full of surprises.

Just at the edge of the Menez Bré which is the highest summit of the Trégor, where the Guindy takes its source to separate the village of Pédernec, the town of Louargat has flourished for centuries. In the heart of the forest of Coat-an-Hay from which it would take its name (Loar Goat meaning "moon of the wood"), Louargat is of these Breton cities with the so particular stamp, which in one moment plunge you in the heart of the history of the area. Like Brittany, the town has a marked and splendid heritage, made of old stone houses and beautiful neo-Breton houses which give it a very particular charm. Here, the religious heritage is marked, and you will find while traversing the lanes of the village a whole pleiad of churches and old chapels. What to see? The church of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, the 18th century chapel of Saint-Paul, the 17th century chapels of Saint-Jean and Saint-Fiacre, but also the chapel of Saint-Sylvestre and the inevitable chapel of Saint-Hervé. Emblematic of the local landscape, the Saint-Hervé chapel is undoubtedly one of the most photographed of all Brittany: perched at the top of the Menez Bré, at an altitude of 302 meters, this small intimist chapel all of stones offers from its promontory an absolutely crazy panorama on the Monts d'Arrée. If the views are magnificent at sunset, in winter as well as in spring or summer, in autumn, you will have the impression of walking in the heart of the Irish countryside as the vegetation is so dense and the atmosphere so particular. Back to the village, you will also find a wide range of testimonies of the Prehistory on the lands of Louargat: the menhirs of Pergat, the tumulus of An Dossen and the stele of Cre'ch Even will plunge you into the heart of the Breton history.

And on the civil architecture side, don't miss the feudal mound of Pen Ar Stang, as well as the manor houses of Plouserf and Cleuziou Walkers will enjoy itineraries through the forest of Coat An Hay or the Lande Supplice, as well as in the direction of Menez Bré which is, we can never say it enough, a real must-see for any visit to Louargat. In the area, on foot or by bike, you can also reach the site of Kernansquillec, the Castle of Coat-an-Noz, the superb Manor of Goaz Froment, the Valley of Bamboos or with the family make a stop at the Armoripark of Bégard. Amusement park 100% "Made in BZH", it is the perfect place to have fun with zip lines, playful pools, giant trampolines, slides... Enough to seduce young and old, die-hard Bretons at heart!
