Ah, the Pink Granite Coast... What better place to discover the splendours of Brittany? Situated in the Côtes-d'Armor, Pleumeur-Bodou is the ideal destination to put down your suitcases and enjoy all the charms of the Brittany coastline.

Nestled between Trébeurden and Perros-Guirec, along the marvellous Pink Granite Coast, Pleumeur-Bodou has all the cards in hand to make you spend a dream holiday in the Côtes-d'Armor. If you are looking for peace and quiet, postcard panoramas and green sports holidays, then Pleumeur-Bodou will meet all your expectations. A true haven of unspoilt peace, far, far away from the big seaside resorts of the coast, Pleumeur-Bodou is a little corner of paradise for all lovers of tranquillity and nature. Historical, Pleumeur-Bodou is a land of legends which sees its origins going back far, very far, thousands of years ago as many stones and other megaliths present on its territory testify. The menhir of Saint-Uzec (near the chapel of the same name), or the covered alley of Keryvon, but also the mysterious chapel of Saint-Samson as well as the old houses that dot the coast of Pleumeur-Bodou are all current witnesses to the history of the town. Saint-Pierre church, Kerduel castle, Saint-Marc church or Saint-Uzec chapel are added to the list of visits to be made. A must see? Parc du Radome. A small technological jewel dating from the 1960s, it is a showcase for Brittany's know-how and modernism. Its Gallic Village, its huge planetarium and its Cité des Télécoms represented by a gigantic 50-metre high dome are all emblematic sites of the town. Classified as a Historic Monument, this dome, which is the pride of the inhabitants, was in 1962 at the origin of the very first images transmitted live from the United States, a pioneer in the history of space telecommunications.

But Pleumeur-Bodou is above all an absolutely splendid natural heritage: with more than 17 kilometres of coastline, the commune impresses its visitors with the multitude of faces it offers to see. It also has a whole string of small islands, each one more exotic than the next, such as the Landrellec peninsula or the Île Grande. Renowned for its sandy and pebble beaches, its water sports spots, its calm and its typical small houses, Île Grande is a real paradise for hiking enthusiasts who can go around it via a 7-kilometre marked trail. In addition to its great architectural heritage, it is also known for its LPO station, a centre for the protection and preservation of birds, of which there are many in the area. Opposite the Île Grande, the Île d'Aval is also famous for its reputation: legend has it that King Arthur was buried there!

The GR34 will be your best ally: following the whole of Brittany from one end to the other, it will allow you to cross the entire coastline of Pleumeur-Bodou, as well as the entire Pink Granite Coast. In addition to hiking, you can also opt for mountain bike outings, which will allow you to discover most of the major sites in the commune.

Finally, the major asset of Pleumeur-Bodou? Its beaches, oh, so beautiful.
