A fascinating cultural heritage, to which is added a natural heritage to be damned, with marvellous beaches, cliffs and panoramic views of the sea... That's what awaits you if it's in Plouézec, in Brittany, that you put down your suitcases.

Between the cliffs of Plouha and the city of Paimpol, on the northern coast of the Côtes-d'Armor department, Plouézec definitely has everything to please. Quiet city, it spreads out under the astonished eyes of its visitors panoramas to no end on the turquoise water, and a particularly generous nature. But before setting off to discover the wild Plouézec, take the time to discover the beauty of the town's architectural heritage. Here, chapels and other religious monuments have grown in number in the town over the centuries, a little like everywhere in Brittany moreover. But its most emblematic monument is undoubtedly its windmill. The Moulin de Craca, that is its name, was built 80 metres from the sea, perched 60 metres above sea level on the north cliff of the town. This means that from its promontory, the viewpoints are absolutely magnificent both on the bay of Paimpol and on the neighbouring island of Bréhat, which is worth the detour for its astonishing houses, its colourful hydrangeas and its abundant agapanthes. After a tour of the ports of Brehec, Port Lazo and Le Boulguef, take the time to succumb to the delights of the local gastronomy by tasting Cocos de Paimpol, oysters from the Bay of Paimpol, kouign-amann and other buckwheat pancakes, direction... Plouézec on the sea side!

The major asset of the town is without a doubt its marvellous, indented seafront, which stretches over a little more than 14 kilometres along the English Channel. The Goëlo coast, that's its name, has a magnificent, very rugged coastline, made up of splendid cliffs, peaks and other creeks that shape the territory and make up its charm. To best discover the coast, there is nothing better than to take the GR34 paths (which runs along the whole of Brittany), or to hike on the Circuit des Falaises; from the latter, the panoramas of the open sea, the coast, but also the neighbouring islets such as those of the Mez Goelo, or the rock of Lost Pic which marks the entrance to the Bay of Paimpol will take your breath away. After having taken the time to discover the captivating beauty of the Minard and Plouezec points (also called the Bilfot point), direction... the beaches! If there is one that makes the fame of the seaside resort, it is the beach of Pors Pin. Perfect for a swim in the shelter of the cliffs, in a turquoise water worthy of the paradise islands of the Caribbean, it is very little known by visitors and, let it be said, very uncomfortable because of its blue pebbles. We love it for its setting, its calm, but it is not ideal if you dream of fine sand! The Notored cove, the beach of Port-Lazo, and the cove of Porz-Donant are also ideal for hiking, lazing on the pebbles, or fishing. For lazing around on the warm sand, we prefer to go to the neighbouring commune of Plouha which, in addition to marvelling at its cliffs and its exceptional landscapes, delights lovers of sandy beaches thanks to its famous Bonaparte beach! From the Bréhec nautical centre, you can also enjoy a whole range of water sports, from kayaking to surfing, catamaran, windsurfing, canoeing, paddling, pirogue and sea trips along the cliffs! For incredible memories, with family or friends!
