Need fresh air? For authenticity? A vacation far from the crowd, a break in the green and the sea? Head for Brittany, and more precisely for the small village of Quemper-Guézennec.

Quemper-Guézennec is located in the department of Côtes-d'Armor, just next to Pontrieux, about fifteen minutes from Guingamp. Between the rivers Leff and Trieux, which border its territory to the north, Quemper-Guézennec is a quiet destination, far from the traditional tourist itineraries that are crowded in high season. Here, onlookers like to take their time to visit this village with its typical architecture of the Breton north coast; the houses are old, solid, made of beautiful granite stones that tell the story of this pretty corner of Brittany. While walking through the streets of Quemper-Guézennec, you will discover the Saint-Pierre church which is worth a visit for its magnificent 15th century stained glass windows, but also the Saint-Maudez chapel, the old presbytery of the 18th century, fountains, crosses and wash houses, but also many manors such as the manors of Kermaudez, Pen-Lann and Kergoc The ancient castle of Frynaudour is also worth a visit: an ancient fortress on the Trieux, now in ruins, its purpose was to watch over the passage and prevent Norman and English pirates from going upstream towards Pontrieux, and can be discovered today after a short walk along the river. The pond and the remains of the Kerlouët castle will complete this little country walk in the heart of the history of Quemper-Guézennec. A must to do? Go to the quays of the port of Goas Vilinic, the port of the commune, which has 32 anchorages and which will take you on an excursion to the heart of authentic Quemper-Guézennec! If you are lucky enough to opt for a boat trip, you will sail up the Trieux river to see from below the unique beauty of the Château de la Roche-Jagu, Lézardrieux, the estuary and finally the English Channel, wide open on the islets of the Ile de Bréhat.

Because staying in Quemper-Guézennec is also an opportunity to discover some of the most beautiful sites of the Côtes-d'Armor! The Temple of Lanleff, east of the village, is worth the detour: considered as one of the most beautiful vestiges of Breton Romanesque Art, this temple with its original round shape is made of pink sandstone (the Pink Granite Coast is not far away...) and volcanic stones which give it a very particular charm. Its Roman arches, its large pillars and its imposing columns make this place a must-see during your stay, which will fascinate the lovers of history and old stones. Pontrieux and its bridges, the historical Castle of la Roche-Jagu, the Sillon de Talbert emblematic of the Arthurian Legend, but also Loguivy and its beaches, Bréhat and its timeless hydrangeas with their bright colors, Paimpol and the Abyss of Plougrescant (31 kilometers), Plouha and its iconic cliffs (15 kilometers), are as many sites which we recommend you to visit, to complete this stay in Breton land
