A former fishing village, its history goes back to ancient times as evidenced by the presence of a lying menhir dating from the Neolithic period, which you can discover while walking along the Pointe du Chevet. At the end of its peninsula, this renowned seaside resort offers an authentic heritage, preserved landscapes and a unique jagged coastline, a paradise for hikers who stroll there all year round, in winter as well as in summer, via the GR34 trails. After a tour of the abbey of Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, the port of La Houle Causseul and the cale du Chatelet, head for the most beautiful jewel of Saint-Jacut: the sea With 11 magnificent beaches among which the beach of La Blanche, the beach of La Justice, those of La Manchette, of La Pissote, of Béchet, but also the beach of Chatelet and that of Rougeret, you will be spoilt for choice! This last one, the Rougeret beach, is also well known for being a wonderful spot for water sports, such as sand yachting, catamaran, windsurfing, dinghy, canoeing and kitesurfing! The bay of Beaussais is THE kitesurfing spot not to be missed for some good waves and great sensations in a dream place! Also, we can only recommend you to go around the Ebihens archipelago by sail or by canoe for the most sportive ones! Magnificent ornithological reserve, where thousands of sea birds nest, the Ebihens archipelago is also home to a Vauban tower, which you can discover while walking around the island. You will discover paradisiacal landscapes, which will almost make you doubt that you are in Brittany!
