Watered in the east by the sinuous meanders of the Rance, which flows into the English Channel a few kilometres further north between Dinard and Saint-Malo, Taden's origins go back a long way, to the Gallo-Roman era, as evidenced by the presence of archaeological remains found on its land. Divided into a multitude of small hamlets and villages, the town of Taden is undoubtedly worth a visit for its important historical heritage. Like Brittany, Taden has a vast religious heritage that you can discover during your walks, starting with the church of St. Peter: built in the form of a cross of St. Anthony, also called "Tau", this church is the heart of the village. Imposing, with its high peak and its beautiful stones of a pure Breton style, it is one of the most visited monuments of the town thanks to its beautiful 16th century elements and its sculptures. Smaller and older, the church of Trélat is also worth a visit, as is the magnificent and imposing Manoir de la Grand'Cour. Built during the 14th century, this former seat of the Seigniory of Taden is a real jewel of medieval architecture, and is worth a visit as much for its construction as for the panoramic views it offers from its upper rooms. The other star of the village is the Château de la Garaye. Or rather, what is left of it, but its ruins are so beautiful that they have been classified as Historical Monuments in 1920. You can walk around the building, and discover its magnificent facade decorated with elegant architectural elements before a walk in the "Bois du Parc" or through the picturesque Valley of the Fountains of Water, for beautiful refreshing walks in the Dinan area and along the Rance.

Ah, the Rance... Adored by fishermen, boaters and walkers, its banks are embellished with marked trails from 4 to 11 kilometers, perfect for small family outings to the tune of the lapping of the river. On foot or by bike, they will lead you to Dinard, about twenty kilometres further north. Taden, a cultural and captivating town nestled between the Frémur and the Rance, enjoys a very good reputation thanks to its strategic location, ideal for discovering some of the most beautiful sites in the Côtes-d'Armor, and in no time at all.
