Are you looking for a holiday with a taste of iodine and buckwheat? Stays under the sun, in the heart of a wild nature perfect for outdoor activities and rejuvenating breaks? Head for Trélévern, in Brittany!
The small seaside resort of Trélévern is located in the heart of the Trégor, in the Côtes-d'Armor department. Located on the incomparable Pink Granite Coast, about ten kilometers from Lannion and Perros-Guirec, Trélévern is the countryside by the sea. So close to the largest seaside resorts of the coast and yet so quiet, Trélévern cultivates its intimate side, and that's why holidaymakers love it so much. If the village of Trélévern is not very big, take the time to visit it in order to discover its typical Breton houses, made of granite and massive stones, like the Château de Kergouanton. It is impossible to pass through the village without seeing its imposing church, dedicated to Saint-Léonore and Sainte-Anne. With its bell tower and its stained glass windows, it is the most visited monument in Trélévern.
After visiting the village, head for the main attraction of Trélévern: its coastline! Along the GR34, which crosses the whole Breton coast, Trélévern is easily discovered by its small coastal paths, which allow hikers to discover splendid panoramas on the Tomé Island just opposite, as well as on the archipelago of the Seven Islands, a treasure of biodiversity which shelters numerous birds throughout the year: puffins, gulls, gannets, cormorants, razorbills and other grey seals have taken up residence on Rouzic Island, one of the islands of this fantastic archipelago which you can visit during sea trips starting from Trestraou beach, in Perros-Guirec. If some paths of the GR34 are reserved for pedestrians, others are open to cyclists and horse riders, allowing you to walk all along the Pink Granite Coast to discover its most beautiful secrets. Our favourite spot? The lighthouse of Ploumanac'h! Called the Mean Ruz Lighthouse, this lighthouse, built entirely of pink granite from the coast, marks the entrance to the port of Ploumanac'h, in Perros-Guirec. Built in 1945, this lighthouse with a focal height of 26 meters offers to the onlookers an unobstructed view from its foot on the Seven Islands, but also the nearby Castle of Costaérès and the island Renote on the town of Trégastel. The other strong point of Trélévern is its beaches: a paradise for fishing on foot, especially during the high tides, this well-known shellfish spot offers something to delight young and old alike, especially at Pors Garo and Kiriec. From these beaches, you can also swim, sunbathe (yes, we assure you that we tan in Brittany!), paddle, windsurf and go out to sea to discover the pink rocks with spectacular shapes, which will certainly make your holidays in Trélévern unforgettable.
