Around the old fishing village of Grau du Roi and its famous Port Camargue, the beaches seem endless and blend into the unique landscapes of the Camargue. In this rare environment you can enjoy all the pleasures of the Mediterranean : lazing around, swimming, water activities... If you prefer to swim in fresh water, join the banks of the Gardon, the Cèze or the Vis. These idyllic rivers are also ideal for canoeing or, on their sometimes steep banks, climbing and via ferrata. Land of history pioneered by the Celts, Romans and Camisards, the Gard also invites you to discover an exceptional heritage. At Nimes, the French Rome, admire the remains of the Roman era : arenas, tower Magne Square house door Augustus but also the beautiful religious buildings : Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Castor, Church of St. Perpetua, and -Felicity... Then come to Alès, the gateway to the Cevennes, and enjoy the Vauban Fort, the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral and the many parks and gardens of the city.
