Under the reassuring arm of the Dordogne, Saint-Loubès is located in the Gironde department, about 20 kilometers north of Bordeaux. Rich of a very old history inherited from the Vie century for the most part, Saint-Loubès has inherited from its past many testimonies that you will have the opportunity to discover. To see? The Saint-Loup Chapel, without a doubt! Taking its name from the first name given to the commune of Saint-Loubès, the Saint-Loup chapel was built during the 11th century and is worth a visit for its picturesque character and the beauty of its decorations, which today host numerous exhibitions and concerts throughout the year. Take the time to stroll around the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville and the Mairie-Halle, then linger at the Saint-Pierre church: an imposing Romanesque church, dating from before the 11th century, it has been redesigned and is known for its bell tower, the highest in the Gironde, which towers 52 meters high.

A town in the countryside, this charming Gironde city is a dynamic and peaceful place, where concerts, exhibitions, shows and other markets punctuate the life of the town. From the port of Cavernes, you can take a trip on the Dordogne to discover Saint-Loubès and its neighboring towns from the water! By car or by bike, you can also reach the historical city of Bordeaux in a few minutes! Bordeaux is full of incredible sites to discover and can be explored in a day or two, depending on your wishes. What to see? The Miroir d'eau of course, located between the Quai de la Douane and the Quai Louis XVIII, but also the famous Place des Quinconces, the largest square in France and one of the largest in Europe! Stroll along the rue Sainte-Catherine for some shopping, fill your camera with pictures of the Place Pey-Berland where you can discover the Cathedral Saint-André de la Tour Pey-Berland, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, and which has the particularity to offer a crazy panorama on the city from its promontory, accessible after climbing some 233 steps! The Grand Théâtre, the Cité du Vin, the Bassin des Lumières, the Grosse Cloche, the quays and the vineyards are all ideas to visit during a short trip to Bordeaux!
