On horseback between Maurienne and Tarentaise, in the department of Savoy, the Grand Domaine welcomes you in a majestic domain overlooking Mont Blanc and the Aiguilles d'Arves. Between authentic villages, friendly atmosphere and numerous activities, your stay will be placed under the sign of enchantment.
Linking the village resorts of Valmorel, Saint-François-Longchamp, Doucy-Combelouvière and Celliers, the Grand Domaine extends over an immense territory and is the fifth largest ski area in Savoie. With altitudes between 1200 and 2550 meters, it makes the happiness of all winter sliding enthusiasts and delight hikers, mountain bikers and outdoor recreation lovers in summer. Its traditional villages offer a family welcome, on a human scale, and are an opportunity to discover a beautiful heritage such as the Saint-Anne and Notre-Dame-de-Beaurevers chapels in Saint-Francois-Longchamp, the Saint-André de Doucy baroque church or the Assumption church in Celliers.
During the winter period, the Grand Domaine is transformed into a vast leisure area on snow. With 90 downhill ski runs of all levels, 50 ski lifts and exceptional snow conditions, it offers beginners perfect conditions for initiation and, for the more experienced, the opportunity to express and perfect their technique. To practice freestyle, you can go in one of the 3 snowparks, one of the 2 boardercross or in one of the 2 snowcross which offer a great diversity of modules. But you can also enjoy the mountain in a different way by taking the 20 kilometres of cross-country ski trails or by snowshoeing, in particular, the 20,000 hectares of cross-country skiing.
In summer, forests and alpine pastures of the Grand Domaine cover their greenery and invite you to discover them in many ways. On foot, explore the 200 kilometres of marked trails in the Aigueblanche valleys. Some will lead you to the Black Horse peak, others to Branlay Lake but all will allow you to admire the Alps from above. By bike, tackle the Col de la Madeleine, one of the giants of the Tour de France, or join, by mountain bike, the Bike Park of Valmorel where you can practice downhill, enduro or cross-country. But also get your adrenaline pumping by testing the Freestyle Airbag and the 4-season toboggan La Comète de Saint-François-Longchamp or by initiating yourself to climbing, via ferrata, paragliding...
