Located only 8 kilometres from Dinard, 15 kilometres from Saint-Malo and one hour from Rennes, Saint-Briac-sur-Mer has inherited the nickname "Pearl" of the Côte d'Émeraude because of its exceptional landscapes with a thousand shades of blue. A small corner of paradise adored by lovers of Brittany, the seaside resort offers an ideal setting for quiet stays, punctuated by hiking excursions, sea outings and a good number of water sports.

From immense and almost deserted beaches to splendid coves with waters to make the beaches of the paradise islands pale with jealousy, Saint-Briac-sur-Mer unfolds its charms to those who know how to appreciate them. A favourite destination located in the north of the Breton coast, Saint-Briac-sur-Mer is an old seafaring village built around its church and its narrow streets. Inspiring artists such as the painters Auguste Renoir and Paul Signac over the centuries, the town is a delight for nature lovers, the open sea and families who come every year to enjoy the calm of its 11 well exposed beaches and its coves in the colours of azure. At the foot of its coastal cliffs planted with gorse, pine, moorland and broom, "Longchamp Beach" to the west is the largest expanse of light sand in the resort. Halfway between Saint-Lunaire and Saint-Briac, it is also the most exposed to the winds, making it the preferred place for surfers. Close to the gold of Dinard and the Pointe de la Garde Guérin, the "Plage de la Garde" is a small sandy and wild cove, nestled in a preserved cove: perfect for lovers of calm, it is only very rarely visited despite its beautiful setting. In its extension, you will find the "Plage de Port Hue": bordered by the Sentier des Douaniers and the golf course, this fine sandy beach offers a beautiful view of the islets facing the resort, such as île Dame Jouanne in particular. Further west, the "Plage du Port aux Chevaux" and the "Plage du Perron" are two wild paradisiacal expanses, very rarely visited and perfect for quiet breaks, far from the crowded beaches of the Côte d'Émeraude. At the foot of the Château du Nessay, the "Plage de la Salinette", lined with small typical cabins, is one of the most charming in Saint-Briac. With its incredible panoramic view of the Bay of Saint-Briac, this immense beach, divided in two, is a delight for families and sailing enthusiasts alike.

Many water sports activities are offered along the Briacin coast: surfing, sailing, longe-côte, diving, jet-skiing in Saint-Malo, but also sea kayaking, sea outings on board yachts and excursions in the open sea will delight freshwater sailors and experienced sailors. If, however, you prefer activities on land, you should know that the municipality of Saint-Briac-sur-Mer has many outdoor activities. Located on the resort of Saint-Briac, the superb Dinard golf course offers breathtaking views of the blue sea from its 18 holes, beloved by seasoned golfers. Several hiking trails also cross the commune, from the inside of the village to its coastal paths. The stroll of the Vieux Saint-Briac will be an opportunity for you to visit the historic heart of the city: you will discover the captain's houses of the 18th century, the alleyway of the Ruettes, the classified bell tower of the 17th century which covers the church of the village, but also the inevitable boulevard de la Mer constellated with seaside villas, from which the viewpoint nicknamed "Balcon d'émeraude" will allow you to contemplate superb panoramas on the sea. Château du Nessay is also a must for your visit: built in the 19th century in the heart of a natural site facing the immensity of the sea, this charming bourgeois castle with medieval and Renaissance influences is a superb postcard from Saint-Briac-sur-Mer. The famous "Painters' Way" is certainly the most popular walking route: 13 kilometres long, this walk, accessible to all, follows the lines of the GR34 to allow you to discover the places that, in the past, were adored by the painters who placed their easels there to immortalize with their brushes the singularity of the panorama. The "Circuit des Moulins" will take you to the heart of the Briacine countryside along the Frémur for more than 9 kilometres: fun, this walk is ideal for families and children who can discover the richness of the local flora and fauna.

Finally, do not miss Saint-Malo for expeditions through the "Baie des Corsaires", Saint-Lunaire and its magnificent beach, Dinard and its Belle-Époque villas, but also the Côtes d'Armor just a few kilometres away, rich in magnificent landscapes made of pink granite and turquoise water.
