On the Côte d'Amour, Le Pouliguen, "the little white bay" in Breton, offers outdoor enthusiasts a vast open-air playground. Its Wild Coast classified Natura 2000 makes it a perfect place for hiking, cycling or horseback riding. As for the visits, the church of Saint-Nicolas (17th century), the town hall of Brécéan and the chapel of Penchâteau are to be seen during your stay: the latter in particular, is a very beautiful testimony to the local architecture of the 15th century. Its port is also appreciated for romantic strolls: take the time to stroll along the Jules Sandeau quay to discover the beautiful seaside villas that face the 700 pleasure boats moored. Then continue your visit towards the Promenade, a shaded alley lined with plane trees where it is pleasant to daydream to the sound of the boats rattling. With its rides, glaciers, restaurants, pancake and waffle shops, it is the ideal place to stroll at sunset, to enjoy wonderful views of the Bay of Pouliguen. Le Bois du Calvaire is one of the favourite sites of the Pouliguennais: a real green lung of the city, this 4 hectare green setting has several playgrounds for young and old, such as basketball courts, tennis courts, but also petanque courts often taken over during the summer.

And how to evoke Pouliguen without mentioning the Customs Path? Bordering the cliffs of the seaside resort, it offers its curious visitors incomparable panoramas on the sea, breathtaking landscapes always changing with the tides. From Scall Bay to Pointe de Penchâteau, you will discover magnificent views, at every hour of the day as well as at sunset. At low tide, go down from the cliffs to walk at their feet: you will be surprised to discover the 23 caves that dot the Pouliguen coast. Shaped by erosion, wind and tides, these caves, sometimes with strange shapes, are the particularity of this seaside town. The Raven's Rock, the Flat Stone, the Devil's Hole, the Twin Caves, the Korrigans' Caves and the Sphinx Caves are absolutely worth seeing during this walk!

The beach: this is the main advantage of the Pouliguen. The most famous of them all? The beach of Le Nau. Located on the edge of the seaside resort of La Baule, it offers splendid views of the beaches of the latter and Pornichet. It is also the perfect place to practice a wide range of water sports: sailing, kitesurfing, paddle, canoeing, surfing, longe-côte, jet-skiing, motor boat rental towards the Guérande peninsula... The range of possibilities is wide and you will necessarily find something to do under the sun of Pouliguen.
