In Agen, stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center and appreciate the half-timbered houses, the rosary tower and the Penitents tower. Then visit the Cathedral of Saint-Caprais, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and presenting many styles due to the length of time it was built. But also admire the superb Pont-Canal and the building and the collections of the rich museum of Fine Arts. Then go to Villeneuve-sur-Lot and let yourself be amazed by the Cieutats bridge, the Pujols gate, the Sainte-Catherine church and the Lamothe castle.
Continue your discovery of Lot-et-Garonne by the numerous medieval villages that it shelters. The department has no less than 42 bastides, cities built in the Middle Ages around a central square decorated with arcades. The most famous of them is without any doubt Monflanquin, classified among the most beautiful villages of France.
