Overlooking the valley of the Cère, the valley of the Bave and the splendid valley of the Dordogne, Loubressac can be summed up in this: the charm. The charm of its flowered alleys, its unique architecture and its historical heritage, so important, will win over visitors in search of authenticity. Planted on its high rocky promontory, Loubressac reveals magnificent buildings, such as its imposing 15th century castle. Walk through its medieval streets dotted with houses with brown tiled roofs made of slate, discover the 14th century Saint-Jean-Baptiste church known for its sculpted portal, tower tower bell tower and spiral staircases, but also for its interior decorations. The fortified gate, the guards' house from the 15th century, as well as the old houses with ochre stones make up the rich heritage of the town. Enjoy the refreshing shade of its old streets and views of the valleys below, admire the Tours de Saint-Laurent, Castelnau and Montal castles. Also take the time to walk or cycle through all the hamlets of the municipality, spread over more than 2000 hectares. Lavalade, Miramont, Les Ménoyres, Siran, Vailles, Pech Castagnié, Celles ou Granou, all these places also feature beautiful monuments, washhouses, fountains, ovens and beautiful residences typical of the region.

Loubressac and its surrounding valleys are criss-crossed by numerous hiking and cycling trails. From the Pont de Maday which spans the banks of the Dordogne to Bave, many itineraries await you, allowing you to discover all the splendours and reliefs of this colourful corner of Quercy. It is impossible to stay in Loubressac without a stop at the magnificent Padirac Abyss: located in the neighbouring commune, this abyss, renowned for its 40 kilometres of galleries and its underground river, is one of the most visited natural sites in the region. Some major sites in the Dordogne and Lot are only a few kilometres from Loubressac. We particularly recommend you to visit the historic Rocamadour and its Grottes des Merveilles (24 kilometres away), Lacave and its caves (30 kilometres away), but also Argentat (39 kilometres away), Gramat (15 kilometres away), Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne (17 kilometres) or Brive-la-Gaillarde (50 kilometres). Water sports enthusiasts can return to Carennac, Tauriac or Vayrac to enjoy water sports centres that offer a wide range of activities, from canyoning to canoeing, kayaking and water hiking along the meandering Dordogne river.
