In Languedoc-Roussillon, there is first of all the call of the sea. With more than 200 kilometers of beaches, the Mediterranean coast offers a vast area of relaxation and leisure activities. On the program : relaxing on the warm sand, sailing, jet skiing, sailboarding in Leucate or Le Barcarès, diving along the Costa Vermeille, boat trip to the Costa Brava... but also long moments of relaxation in one of the many Centers of thalassotherapy (Cap-d'Agde, Port-Camargue...). In the countryside, beautiful hills and high faceplates are true invitations to hiking, mountain biking, climbing, hang-gliding... An original way to discover the Languedoc-Roussillon is to take the "Canal du Midi". By boat, on foot or by bike on the towpath, you will discover one of the most beautiful waterways in France, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and full of exceptional works of art. On the way, make a stop to admire the medieval city of Carcassonne, its magnificent ramparts and its castle, go on excursion to visit some Cathar castles (Villerouge-Termenes, Termes...), appreciate the old palace of the Archbishops, now transformed into an archaeological museum, and at Beziers, the astonishing locks of Fonserannes.

A few kilometers from Montpellier, do not miss the magic site of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert, one of the most beautiful villages in France. In a sumptuous and wild setting, you will be conquered by this medieval city and its abbey, a true jewel of Languedocian Romanesque art. But many other sites deserve special attention : the Pont du Gard, the Palace of the kings of Majorque of Perpignan, Collioure and its royal castle, the animal parks of Lozère, the observatory of Mont-Aigoual...
