In Languedoc-Roussillon, there is first of all the call of the sea. With more than 200 kilometers of beaches, the Mediterranean coast offers a vast area of relaxation and leisure activities. On the way, make a stop to admire the medieval city of Carcassonne, its magnificent ramparts and its castle, go on excursion to visit some Cathar castles (Villerouge-Termenes, Termes...), appreciate the old palace of the Archbishops, now transformed into an archaeological museum, and at Beziers, the astonishing locks of Fonserannes.
A few kilometers from Montpellier, do not miss the magic site of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert, one of the most beautiful villages in France. In a sumptuous and wild setting, you will be conquered by this medieval city and its abbey, a true jewel of Languedocian Romanesque art.
