A flagship resort on the Opal Coast, about fifteen kilometres from Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, Berck (also known as Berck-sur-Mer or Berck-Plage) is THE family destination par excellence for holidaymakers who are curious to discover the beaches of the North.

Bordered by the fresh waters of the Authie Bay, famous for its many seals, Berck is one of those dynamic seaside resorts where you can pack your bags during the summer. With its rugged, wild and authentic coastline, lined with tall grass and dunes where young and old love to hike in complete tranquility, Berck conquers more and more holidaymakers every year. Its main asset? Its 15 kilometres of clear sandy beach along the Opal Coast, a favourite place for outdoor and adventure fans. Watered by the English Channel, this huge beach will allow you to spend long afternoons swimming with your family or relaxing: here, everyone can find room to lay their towels! Take advantage of your stay in Berck to discover one of the most popular sports in the resort: sand yachting. You can also go SUP, sailing, kitesurfing or sea kayaking, to discover the splendour of the bay with a lot of paddles. On clear days or on grey days, the most popular activity on Berck beach is undoubtedly the kite. Here, it is a national sport that even has its own festival, the "International Kite Encounters", which take place every year during the month of April. Colourful, surprising and sometimes crazy, this playful and exciting event has been attracting thousands of curious people since 1987.

Anything else to see on the Berck coast? Seals, of course! There are 200 seals in the Bay of Authie, which are real stars in the region. This colony of sea calves and grey seals, which has been settled in the bay for a very long time, can be seen from the resort's Nautical Club: at high tide, you will only see their heads coming out of the water, while at low tide, you can observe the entire colony lying on the sand, refuelling with vitamin D and resting before the return of the tide. It is not impossible that you may encounter them at sea, on boat trips, in a kayak or while swimming! And if you are in Berck in June or July, you will even have the chance to see baby seals with their mothers.

As for activities, in addition to all the water sports that the resort offers on its beach, the range of possibilities is wide in Berck! The hike is particularly recommended to allow you to enjoy all the most beautiful panoramas of the Authie Bay: via the dune paths, that of the Plaine (1.1 km), the GR South towards Groffliers, the port of Madelon, the Bois Magnier, the "Boucle de l'Authie" (10.5 km), the GR North towards Le Touquet, the Debeyre promenade on the sea front (1 km), the "Tour de Groffliers" (12 kilometres) and the 8 kilometres of cycle paths that criss-cross the village, you will discover some of the most charming landscapes of Berck and its coast. You can also opt for a horseback ride on the beach, a ride on the Ferris wheel, a game of blackjack at the Casino, or an outing to Parc Bagatelle with your family!
