From the bay of Aiguillon to Royan, Poitou-Charentes offers a long maritime facade of 450 kilometers protected by two large heavenly islands: Ré and Oléron. Inland, visit Poitiers for its historical center, its palace of the Counts of Poitou and its magnificent Gothic church Notre-Dame-la-Grande. Then go to Niort (dungeon, pillory, churches), to Angoulême (ramparts, Saint-Pierre cathedral, comic book museum), to Saintes (Gallo-Roman arena, Saint-Pierre cathedral, Saint-Eutrope church).
