If you come to Saulxures, it is above all for its authenticity and for the many outdoor activities that the municipality invites you to enjoy. Hiking will be the best way for you to discover the green and hilly faces of Saulxures. Sunday walkers, experienced hikers and families will find multiple itineraries according to their level of walking in the heart of the mountains. The "Coteau de Bambois" trail will allow you to discover the splendour of the glacial valleys that surround the city, but also the Etang des Fées, the cow's bog, the Bambois forest, the Salingueux hole or the Gouya pond. The trails of Lake Lispach, Col de Morbieux, Col de Lansau, Col de Lauvy, Tête de la Chapechatte, Col du Rhamné or Gorges de Crosery will allow you, equipped with good shoes, to discover the different reliefs of Saulxures-sur-Moselotte. During your excursions, make a detour to the Château de Saulxures: also known as the "Versailles vosgien", this imposing building built in the 19th century is one of the most beautiful remains of the town. Although it has lost some of its splendour over time, this slightly deprecated Louis XV style castle (and even abandoned since the 1970s) nevertheless contains splendid treasures, such as its imposing Carrara marble fireplaces, its high painted ceilings, its impressive tapestries and its opulent staircases.

Mountain biking, rollerblading, scooters, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter, all walkers are welcome. During the summer, it is impossible not to let yourself be tempted by a dive in the waters of Lake Moselotte! With its beaches, playgrounds, petanque fields and picnic areas, it is the ideal place for a day under the Vosges sun. As for water sports, sliding enthusiasts will have at their disposal a wide choice of sports according to their desires: kayaking, pedal boat, canoeing, inflatable games, boat rides, fishing... You can also rent bicycles or rosalies for a walk around the lake! Horseback riding, paragliding over the city, visiting the Wood Museum, climbing and Nordic walking complete the list of activities you can do during the summer.

In winter, when Saulxures-sur-Moselotte and the Balloons des Vosges cover themselves with their thick white coat, the town becomes a real invitation to practice winter sports. For this, nothing could be easier, the neighbouring domain of Ventron, known for its beautiful panoramas, but also that of Gérardmer, Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle and La Bresse will delight ski enthusiasts in all its forms. Alpine skiing, cross-country or cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging, snowboarding, night skiing... Something to delight the whole family!

Finally, when passing through Saulxures, it is impossible to miss the most beautiful corners of the region: Lake Blanchemer, Lake Les Corbeaux, the famous Route des Crêtes and Lake Longemer are particularly recommended!
