Along the Adriatic lies Ravenna, one of the largest cities in the region. A city of outstanding religious heritage, this former capital of the Byzantine Empire is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On foot or by bike, take the time to stroll through its old town, rich in many historical remains. In search of idleness ? Let yourself be rocked by its relaxing atmosphere along its pine lined coast.

Facing the Adriatic, there are then many welcoming seaside resorts, dotted with cycle paths and pedestrian seafront, perfect for walking. You will discover the seaside resorts of Cervia, Cesenatico, Bellaria and finally the superb Rimini and Riccione. The latter, also known as the "Green Pearl" of the Adriatic, is one of Italy's most popular coastal cities. Ideal for family holidays, it is one of the safest beaches in Europe ! A popular destination, it attracts many holiday-lovers every year as "Baie Imperiale", one of the largest discos in the world, is located in Riccione.
