A true architectural jewel, the Médersa Ben Youssef admirably testifies to Moroccan refinement, both in terms of decoration and architecture. Located in the centre of the Medina in the Mouassine district, this former Koranic school built in the 16th century will dazzle you with its beautiful marble floors, colourful mosaics, ceilings and imposing columns. Strolling randomly through the labyrinth of streets of the Medina and along the ramparts, you will certainly cross paths with the Koutoubia Mosque, the most remarkable religious building in Marrakech. Built in the 12th century 200 metres from Jemaa-el-Fna Square, this "Mosque of Booksellers" dominates the whole of Marrakech from its 77 metres high.

While in Marrakech, a visit to the souks is inevitably necessary. Whether for the pleasure of the eyes or to find a souvenir to bring back in your luggage, the souks of Marrakech will certainly be one of the highlights of your trip. Thanks to its colours and smells, it is the perfect postcard for your stay: don't miss a thing and don't forget your camera to capture your trip, since the souks of Marrakech (17 in number) are among the most beautiful in all of Morocco.

To the list of must-see attractions, there is also a visit to the Bahia Palace and its marble courtyard, the El Badi Palace, the magnificent Dar Si Saïd Museum, the Menara Garden and its thousands of olive trees, but also the historic Saadian Tombs. You can also take advantage of your stay in Marrakech to take care of yourself by pushing the door of one of the many hammams that dot the city, or opt for an original excursion on the side of the Palm grove of Marrakech, which can be visited on foot or by donkey (or camel).

The new city is also not without charm and also contains some very beautiful jewels, such as the famous Jardin de Majorelle, located in the Guéliz district. The most emblematic garden in Marrakech, this botanical garden is dazzled by its bright and bewitching blue, the "majorelle blue", named after the painter who once lived in the villa. The Majorelle Garden is one of the most visited sites in Morocco, but also the most "unscheduled" certainly thanks to its bright colours and its abundance of amazing exotic plants. A true haven of peace, this garden will give you the impression of being cut off from the rest of the world... (as long as there are not too many visitors!)

Finally, for hiking enthusiasts and adventurers at heart, the magnificent Atlas Mountains, only 30 kilometres away, will be a fabulous playground. The Ourika valley in particular, is only about ten kilometers from the city center of Marrakech, it would be a shame to miss a short tour in the mountains which, moreover, offer magnificent views of Marrakech at sunrise.
