From the wild beaches of the Alentejo to the magical ones of the Algarve, Portugal is an ideal destination to enjoy the sea. The two main cities of the country are not to be missed. Lisbon, the capital, has an outstanding heritage. To discover it, stroll through the medieval district of Alfama and its Saint George's castle, the Baixa and its monumental squares, then the district of Belém for its tower and its prodigious Hieronymites Monastery. Visit also the National Museum of Ancient Art which exhibits major works (Bosch, Dürer...). In Porto, let yourself be seduced by the historical center and discover the Sé cathedral (12th century), the São Francisco church with its gold-covered interiors, the Clerks' tower, architectural symbol of the city. But also take the time to visit more contemporary buildings like the Casa da Música and the Serralves Museum.

Next to Lisbon, discover the fabulous Sintra, favorite residence of the kings of Portugal, the dazzling Évora with its Roman walls, its Moorish alleys and its palaces, Coïmbra and its ancient university, the natural parks of the Tagus and Sado estuaries, the monasteries of Alcobaça and Batalh... Near Porto, visit Braga and its sanctuary of Good Jesus of the Mount, Guimarães for its historical center, its 10th century castle and the National Park of Gerês.
