Hiking and nature lovers? We strongly recommend that you visit the Sicasumbre lookout: well known to astronomy enthusiasts, this spot is a privileged place to observe the stars and constellations, which are clearly visible in the middle of the night. The dunes surrounding the seaside resort will also be perfect walking trails, to discover all the faces of Costa Calma: we advise you to walk along Sotavento beach to the Punta Jandia lighthouse, for incomparable views of the turquoise sea. Finally, the Jandia Natural Park, a protected area that covers almost the entire Jandia peninsula, is particularly recommended for experienced walkers: made up of volcanic mountainous areas and long strips of white sand, this Eden with its varied landscapes promises beautiful excursions through its arid landscapes. Remember to take water in your bag during this trip, the heat in the park can sometimes be stifling on very hot summer days.

With the family? Head for Oasis Park, a well-known zoo on the island located just a few minutes from Costa Calma. Botanical and animal park, it will allow you to discover snakes, crocodiles, reptiles and other amphibians of the Canary Islands. Parrots, sea lions, birds of prey, hippos, African elephants, lemurs, camels, Sahara foxes, gazelles, cheetahs and birds will amaze the youngest.
